ESI Corporate Update
Victoria, British Columbia August 20, 2010 – E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. (ESI), TSX-V: ESV is pleased to announce that the Company will hold its 2010 AGM on September 29, 2010.
The 2010 AGM will be held at the Union Club of Victoria, located at 805 Gordon Avenue in Victoria, BC at 2:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time on September 29, 2010. Matters on the Agenda include the election of directors, the appointment and remuneration of the Company's auditors, approval of the Company's stock option plan and approval of the potential creation of a new control person and/or change in control of the Company. The Company's Notice of Meeting, Information Circular, Financial Statements and MD&A are being mailed to shareholders on August 24, 2010 and will be posted on SEDAR at www.sedar.com. The date of record for the meeting is August 16, 2010.
The Company is also pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Ian S. Grant to its Board of Directors. Mr. Grant brings over 25 years of executive and entrepreneurial business and marketing experience to ESI. Mr. Grant has held the role of President and CEO of several public companies and is currently President and sole owner of a full service importer and distributor of hardware and automotive products throughout Canada. Mr. Grant has also gained extensive corporate experience in general management, marketing and organizational effectiveness through positions with Labatt Brewing Company, where he held the title, Director of Marketing, for the British Columbia region , Colgate Palmolive, and Foote Cone and Belding, responsible for the advertising program for General Mills. Mr. Grant is an honours graduate of the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
