ESI Corporate Update
Victoria, British Columbia August 5, 2009 – E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. (ESI), TSX-V: ESV ("ESI" or the "Company") announces that the Management Cease Trade Order ("MCTO") announced on August 6, 2009 remains in effect. The MCTO was applied for due to the default in meeting the filing deadline for the Company's audited annual financial statements, management discussion and analysis ("MD&A") and executive certificates for the year ended March 31, 2009 (the "required annual filings"). The Company had anticipated the completion of the required annual filings by August 31, 2009, however, has been forced to revise this to September 30, 2009.
In addition, the interim quarterly filings, including the financial statements, MD&A and executive certificates, for the three month period ended June 30, 2009 will be not be filed until after the completion of the required annual filings. It is anticipated that the interim quarterly filings will be filed by October 31, 2009. The Management Cease Trade Order will remain in effect until the Company is no longer in default of its filing requirements.
