ESI Corporate Update

Victoria, British Columbia December 10, 2008 - ESI Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") (TSX-V: ESV) is pleased to announce an initial sale of equipment to Wisconsin-based irrigation company Great Rivers Irrigation (GRI).

GRI will act as a distributor of ESI's Gro·Point™ product line to their clients in Wisconsin, primarily to serve the cranberry market. The equipment sold to GRI will be used to showcase what ESI products can do to both monitor irrigation and protect crops from frost.

Cranberry farming in North America is strong with Wisconsin producing approximately half of the United States' annual crop. ESI's Gro·Point™ moisture sensors will enable cranberry growers to maximize harvests without the worry of over-watering in a water dependent industry. The same equipment in the field will also provide wireless frost protection thereby decreasing crop losses, while eliminating unnecessary labour, water and pumping costs.

According to ESI's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, David Porter, "the initial sale of equipment is the first step in a very exciting partnership between ESI and Great Rivers". Mr. Porter continued to say "with fresh water resources becoming a growing concern, it is great to be able to assist cranberry growers in maintaining healthy crops while managing water resources."

The arrangement between the two companies provides GRI with a leading edge, precision irrigation monitoring product line all the way from the sensor to the computer. Great Rivers Irrigation serves Wisconsin's irrigation market that includes 300 clients in the cranberry industry alone.
