ESI Corporate Update
Victoria, British Columbia January 11, 2008 - ESI Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") TSX-V: ESV is pleased to announce the release of Gro•Point Wireless; a system designed to provide wireless delivery of accurate soil moisture and temperature information to the user's desktop.
Gro•Point Wireless was designed and developed over the course of the last year in close consultation with ESI's customers and distribution partners. It is extremely easy to install and use and requires little technical knowledge other than a basic understanding of the Windows® Operating system. Gro•Point Wireless provides in real time, moisture and temperature information, allowing precision irrigation and frost protection.
ESI deployed several Beta test systems a few months ago with customers in the agriculture industry. Initial feedback was extremely positive and we are pleased to report that we have received our first purchase order from Atocas Cranberry - New Brunswick. Having evaluated alternative offerings, Atocas New Brunswick decided on Gro•Point Wireless.
Marc Daoust of Atocas New Brunswick says, "the Gro•Point Wireless system has proven itself to be a reliable, cost effective way to manage my crop's water requirements in addition to providing protection from frost damage and heat stress. The system saves me money and it saves me time when one considers the labour intensive alternatives".
